Hardware utilization is automatically visualized on the execution page.
This allows you to keep an eye on your CPU, memory, and GPU utilization in real-time.
Utilization summary, click the ▼ to expand.
On the image above, you can see the four colored bars.
- The black line shows the peak utilization of the resource.
- Green shows 1–70% utilization.
- Orange shows 70–90% utilization.
- Red shows 90–100% utilization.
Tip
In this case, you always want to see red to make sure you’re using the full GPU capacity. 😉
Expanded hardware statistics.
The hardware statistics charts show the average, maximum, and minimum values for each metric over the span of the execution in 2-minute intervals.
- The left chart shows computational resources i.e. CPU and GPU processing power.
- The right chart shows memory resources i.e. memory and GPU memory.
- The gray areas show the min-max range of the values.
- The colored lines show the average values.
You can use the chart actions to navigate the records in more detail, and hovering over the lines shows the exact values. Clicking on the legends hides the corresponding metric.
The expanded view also includes an action to download the statistics as a JSON file for further analysis, but you can access the data through Valohai API as well.
